  I think I might be done with trying to survive doing software development. I love it and have been doing it for more than 25 years, but I just haven't found a way to make a livable income post 2025.

  My asshole brain woke me at 3 AM with a spontaneous horror story about being trapped on a mountain with assholes with African lions. Simon (the orange cat) sensed my distress from this, and now won’t leave me alone to sleep. Combined with the heat (I had to close off the vent system) and I’m not sure I’m going to get any more sleep tonight.

  I have a rant pending about the macOS update process with keychain, once I understand it more fully and don't come across as completely ignorant. Stuff secured there become unavailable to apps in ways that can cause data loss (especially third party, which weren't coded for this state), and macOS is very unaggressive about clearing the error.
