Today's adventure checked all the boxes of a good day out. 12h30 on my feet, 67km with 3000+m of EG. Nice stroll around Lochnagar and it's surroundings. Very beautiful. The day started misty with rain and wind. Later I had some sun and then lots of strong wind. I bagged 6 Munro's: Carn an t-Sagairt Mor, Carn a'Choire Boidheach, Cac Carn Beag, Broad Cairn, Cairn Bannoch & Tolmount. #running #trailrunning #ultrarunning #munrobagging #CairngormsNationalPark #Scotland

Tomorrow I will go on a hilly adventure south of the Cairngorms: climbing Munro's around Loch Muick. I will be tracking using Ferrett: https://ferrett.io/u/teufen/lonaghar As there will likely be no GSM signal there, I won't be posting much here, though. #running #trailrunning #ultrarunning #munrobagging

@lehtimaeki@snapp.social I have a more general question about training and TEP, because I am curious and want to better understand. When I train for a mountain run, part of my training consists of not running but loaded hiking uphill and downhill. I will put on a 12-16kg backpack and go hike in a hilly or even better mountain region. In regard to gathering TEP in the training period, how would you think this would add up to the TEP I gather while running? And related: in VertMatch, you only sy...

@arappathor @sebastianhahn@mastodon.world Speed is not what matters. It's being outside that is the most important part. 🙌

A nice easy run on the beach and in the dunes. And a beautiful sunrise on top of that. Excellent way to start the day. #running #trailrunning

Festival Trail Semois 70km ! 💪 Beautiful surroundings! 😍 A lot of small climbs and descents, some of them very steep, some of them technical. 2 river crossings. The weather started good but it got hotter during the day, especially on the parts not in the woods. All went well until km56 where I got cramps, first in my stomach and later in my gut. But in the last 7km it went better. FWIW: I finished 19th/70, and 2nd in my age category (V2H veterans 2 male) 👴 #running #trailrunning #ultrarunni...

I had an easy run over the beach and through the dunes this morning. Sky was cloudy, so I didn't see the sunrise. But I saw cows and sheep. 😄 A good way to start the day. #running #trailrunning

Today I went to the Ardennes to score some elevation gain in the valleys of Vieux Chera, Ninglinspo and Chefna. It was much warmer than the weather forecast, upto 22°C near the end. I didn't have enough water and was really dehydrated at the end. Not smart. But for the rest: beautiful surroundings, hard work in the uphills and steaming down the downhills. A good day out. #running #trailrunning

Today's morning run didn't go as expected. I set out to do dune reps to gather some elevation gain. My legs felt really heavy, and it didn't go away after I was warmed up. After half an hour I called it a day and went back home to get me a cup of coffee. Tomorrow will be a better running day. #running
