Jesse: What are you listening to? Me: I'm trying to make a playlist of crisp and melancholy songs for a playlist - but I think this song is too distorted Jesse: For what? Me: For me? Jesse: But for like an event? Me: No - for me. Because I specifically want a playlist of crisp but melancholy songs Sometimes our brains work in very different ways

I wanna have another go at learning mandarin One thing I really struggled with was saying tones. My flat affect is so much more pronounced than I think it is - when I record myself and listen back I'm not making the sounds I think I am

A cool fun thing about needing to sell my labour under capitalism is that the stress and alienation gave me an autoimmune disease that makes me worse at the labour I sell which in turn causes stress about food and shelter which makes the autoimmune disease worse

I try not to be a grumpy old fart but improvements in lighting technology over my lifetime mean that nearly every live music show has a high chance of having migraine triggering lighting

@pat@hachyderm.io I just wish I there was an avenue for me to do something that felt vaguely useful for the next few years and using AI feels like soul rot which is as far from useful as it gets
