  I just came home from a totally chill dental exam where both doctor and x-ray tech wore masks more or less correctly.   Here's a strange thing. I have food in the feeder, and power running to both feeder and livestock unit (blue eires), and there are tons of these cute little weirdos zooming around, eating, and...splashing warm proto-milk everywhere. But none is making it into the unit. I can stand here and milk them, but the machine is doing nothing. Ideas? #NMS #no_mans_sky

  Today I got a gentle reminder that these adorable floof muffins that we love, and get very close to are still animals. They were wild not that long ago. Since their species is both predator and prey, sometimes they can suddenly freak out and fight for their lives with no warning.   @sarahdalgulls At different points in the late '80s, I bought two daily use bags. One was a large, plain canvas zipper purse from Walmart ($10?) , and the other was a lovely purple backpack from North Face or similar (maybe $45?) Both were perfect in every way. I used both of them hard, stuffed 'em full and dragged them across rocks, and never saw any signs of wear. About 10 years ago, I passed them both to new owners, looking almost new, especially the purple pack.

Mr Bojangles is one of those deceptively simple songs that teaches us how to keep our hearts alive through adversity. Mr B suffered with addiction, grief, and jail time.   Is it possible to find purple stars if you chose not to reset the system? I know how to get to a different galaxy by teleporting to another player's base from the anomaly, but is there a way to start the necessary quests from there (or from anywhere else?)   I was sitting here gaming, and gradually realized I was feeling so, so sad. Like up against a wall of sadness. There is a grief in my life I could attach to this feeling, but it doesn't usually smack me like that. And then I remembered the weather.   Can anyone give me some advice about choosing materials for watercolor painting as a disabled person who has to spend most of my time in bed? I have paper, and can probably scrounge up a bed easel.   Buying a new computer used to be a happier experience. There was a certain amount of excitement to see what new bells and whistles there were. Now there are no bells or whistles, just obnoxious crap that does nothing I care about. And (mentally) screaming, "go fuck yourself!" every few minutes really robs the process of any joy.
