  One of the things I enjoy about Windows 11, now that we interact with so many web and electron apps, is how often the mouse cursor will simply disappear. Something to do with the compositor, as I understand it. I mean, who doesn't enjoy trying to guess what they're clicking on, or where text will appear when they start typing.

  Iowa appears to be the main character of the weather today. Reed Timmer and storm chasing crew are up in Dubuque in their armored truck. First time I've watched this, it's all very Twisters (which I did not enjoy as much as the original). Folks are a bit spooked about this squall line apparently due later this evening. The derecho of 2020 will be fresh in everyone's mind for years to come.

  Now that I have to subscribe to AppleTV to watch F1, I thought I'd dig around the app and get my money's worth. Was stoked to find not only a brand new season of For All Mankind, but also a new show called Star City which will tell the story from the Soviet perspective. Got lucky with some trials previously, which is how I watched these things before.

  Google understand that the side by side ads on YouTube (on a TV, at least) are worse, right? Now the video keeps playing and only the audio is interrupted. So you literally miss what's going on, versus full screen ads which entirely interrupt playback.

  Astral joins OpenAI. I uninstall uv and their Python language server that I added to VS Codium, which I'm only using because I was trying to avoid the Microsoft language server (for obvious reasons, plus Codium doesn't have direct access to the Code marketplace). Great start to the day.
