Yeah, sorry, I'm not going to do the "space exploration is pointless" thing. It absolutely unites people. It's inspiring. It benefits us through *long, long list of technological benefits to the NASA space program*. I thought the billionaire bullshit race to blot out the night sky had completely killed my interest in space travel, but I was riveted by the Artemis II launch. My son watched with me (we haven't regularly watched launches since the very early Falcon 9 days) and my daughter was huddled around her phone with her friends at school. It doesn't matter who gets to claim it as a victory as they slash science budgets, anyone half paying attention knows this is *years* of work and planning.
