Stop innovating keyboard layouts! Years of special buttons nobody presses Wanted to do it anyways just for a laugh? We already had that: SUN microsystems had cut/copy/paste buttons. Yes please rearrange home/end/ins/del - statements dreamed up by the utterly deranged This is real keyboard, designed by real keyboard people. They have played us for absolute fools

Teenager has been busy installing Linux on laptop last week and is now asking questions like: Why does my computer report "ACPI Error: Region SystemCMOS (ID=5) has no handler" before crashing? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

RE: https://nondeterministic.computer/@mjg59/116424709251813699 A day later and indeed almost all replies are variations of "Oh no not like that". (This post is not an argument for or against LLMs, I'm simply noting people decided to confirm what @mjg59 said)

Apparently you have to "scp -c aes256-gcm@openssh.com " if you want full speed from 10G network. Default is chacha20 which is less optimized and can starve the CPU at either end.

Watched: One battle after another. An incredible borefest. Had an interesting start, but soon events unfold entirely predictably with overly stereotypical characters. Cannot recommend.

Once upon a time, map makers added fake streets to maps. Why? To catch illegal copies. If a "trap street" from your map appeared in someone else's map, you could prove they didn't make the map themselves. I take it's time for trap unit tests. Tests, that make software behave incorrectly in some totally irrelevant way. So if someone uses a LLM to copy your software and uses your unit tests... https://www.cabinetmagazine.org/issues/47/bridle.php
