1/3 A few impressions of our swiss jura hike last weekend. Day 1: From Orvin up to the Chasseral. there we still found a few small snow fields and refilled our water before we set up our tents for the night. (~17km, ~1000m EG) #hiking

First longer interval run of the current season. With nice switches between ups and downs, walking and running with and without poles to maintain the targeted HF. Over all 15km, 1km warmup, followed by 4 times 1km HF 2 and 2km high HF3 / low HF4, finished by 2km cool down. 15km, 6:52/km, 430m EG #TrainingLog #Trailrunning

Today my wife and I did a little hike at the Toggenburg area and listened to a youth classic orchestra afterwards. At the first part of the hike we visited with several other tourists the Thur waterfalls. After that, the higher up we went the more lonesome it became. Today we absolutely enjoyed the astonishing contrasts of the blooming meadows, the fresh green of the trees and the white of the fresh fallen snow. 1/2 I hiked with my wife and two friends for two days in the Jura region. On our first day we started from Môtiers, followed the trail of the monks, visited a small cave and finished our hike at Couvet. The corridor aux loup is definitely worth a small detour. We were surprised to have not met more hikers. Especially the first and last part of our hike was quite lonesome. #hiking

Sigh. The slight cold I got three weeks ago is still not gone. However I managed to do at least two short beach runs this week, I spent with my youngest at the Adriatic sea. Now I am looking forward to a three day hike with my son and a friend of us. We planned to cross a part of the Swiss Jura, to sleep outside and not to go down to the valleys for the trip. Let&#39;s hope for good enough weather. 🤞

Sunday hike with my son from Bauma ascending the Hörnli to Steg with a little detour to a small cave. The weather was much better than forecasted and thankfully the small thunderstorm passed south of us. #hiking #Switzerland #Tösstal

On the second and last day of our ski touring eastern we ascended the Rossbodenstock, skied down to Qndermatt and took the train back to our car. As expected several others ascended the same summit. But it was far from crowded. Round about 20 people on the summit. The descent to Andermatt is fairly steep (rated AD+), so there we were for ourselves again.
