1800 BST: here I sit, wondering how to amuse myself in the aching void until I can go to bed.

Allowing for a lunch break, I’m done. Three pairs of gangways done. There was swearing. There has to be some paint next. There’ll be no excuse for avoiding actually putting these models together now. First job for tomorrow.

This is what I had been looking for. Well, it's one of six photos taken of me not long after my egg cracked. Would you just look at this brazen hussy, which her cheeky grin and bare legs! 😳

Morning world. Whoosh! Here it is Friday again.

Day Job journal, part oh I’ve lost count now… After a couple of really productive days at the bench, I’m finding it hard to get properly started today. I know what I need to do, so I just need to kick myself up the backside and get started. Let’s choose a decent playlist and see if that helps. I hope I don’t pull a muscle trying to kick myself up the backside. 🤣

It’s not going to get easier, is it. I’ve reached an age where famous people I grew up with are dying. It feels like little glimmers of my past are winking out, one by one.

I heard a cry, and saw my elderly neighbour on his back in his front garden. He'd stumbled and fallen against the concrete path. A nasty graze on his elbow, and a couple of dings on his face. No signs of concussion, so it don’t think he landed too heavily. I helped him up and into his house. I helped him clean up as best we could, basic dressing on the elbow to keep it clean. His daughter's on her way over. It’s all excitement round here.

Morning world. Here's another Monday to annoy us. I'm getting a hair cut later. I really know how to live life to the max.

Morning world. Unsurprisingly, I’m feeling a little fragile this morning. That’ll learn me! Still, it was a very pleasant afternoon and evening.

Morning world. How about a fresh start? I’ll give it a go. Meanwhile, I seem to be developing a social life again. What fun.

I can’t remember the last time I walked so far. I chose not to wear my sensible smart shoes, so I have a couple of toes that are now complaining. I also can’t remember the last time spent quite so much on clothes in one hit! I’ll have to be careful next time my surrogate sister suggests we go shopping!

Time to walk away from the bench for a bit. I’ve just cut 16 panels of clear material to glaze part of a model coach - and they’re all the wrong size. Ack.

I’m for bed. Thanks for being good company this Sunday evening. Back to the grindstone tomorrow. *waves*

I gave up wearing makeup back in the 1990s. I just didn’t feel the need for it. Just lately, a couple of friends have suggested I should try it again. So, I’ve been playing with makeup like a pre-teen girl, and I kinda like the way it looks - though the lippy is a bit too pink. What do you think?

Had a nice chat with my neighbour, over a cup of tea. She's now in on My Secret. I felt I needed her to know I am trans, because she was saying some things that were erroneous. Anyway, she is an ally, despite that. And, while I don’t mind if it slips out, My Secret will not spread. Some days, it’s nice to have the reassurance of "Oh, if you hadn’t said I’d never would have known". ☺️

I’m preparing for painting a 1930s livery on the railway coaches I’m building for a commission. I’ve now fallen into a whole warren of rabbit holes trying to work out the form of lining, lettering, and so on. If you don’t hear from me by teatime, send help.

Model club night. Some splendid models in the completion. I didn’t take anything to show. In the venue car park I was getting a solid 5G on my phone. Once indoors, a big fat zero. It claimed 4G, but I had nothing. Annoying, because I couldn’t show folk any pictures of my stuff that I hadn’t brought. Ho hum. First world problems, eh?

Morning world. I’m out playing trains today. It’ll be nice to see the old gang again. I’m not sure what the phone signal will be like.

Laundry on, so at least there’ll be some clean undies in my future. I know it’s Sunday, a "day of rest", but I think I should get some more Day Job painting sorted out. Or I could do the usual, and slob out on the sofa until bedtime.

@asphodelia 😀 Welcome aboard! It’s a bit daunting at first, but be patient. The secret, they tell me, is to find and follow people. The more you follow, the busier your timeline gets. Some old MuMu denizens you might like to follow as a start: @gavin57 @daycoder @Hairydalek I know they’ll love to follow you back. Ah, one you might find fun: @owlsintowels

Morning world. You won’t hear much of me today (hooray!). I'm off on a bit of an adventure to the other side of that there London today. Meeting with old friends, which will be nice. Then, dash back home and out to a birthday party. Which will also be nice. I’ll be all in tomorrow.
