Was nutzt denn meine Nerd bubble hier als Alternative zum Tibber Pulse? Ich wurde gerne meinen Stromverbrauch besser messen und frage mich ob es 120€ kosten sollte. Wichtig wäre mir ja, dass ich den Apparat lokal betrieben bekomme, ohne dass er mit dem Internet telefonieren muss. Ich mag ja schon etwas Hochglanz Lösungen ohne Löten. Custom Firmware die einigermaßen ohne Gerät öffnen installierbar ist, finde ich auch nett. #FOSS #stromzähler

Another chapter of AI slop ruining everything: #Unifi decided to remove the search function in their Documentation in favour of a #LLM powered chat box. And I imagine after a while they noticed that this was expensive to run, so they limited it to 5 requests per day. You might spotted it already: Effectively you can now only search the unifi documentation 5 times a day. 🎉

The whole LLM and AI stuff will only stay if you use it. If they can&#39;t monetise it, it&#39;ll disappear again. Your role in this is easy: Don&#39;t use it. If you have to use it, use local models or wait for your boss to explicitly order you to do it. Keep your eyes open. In most cases where people say LLMs and agents solves something it&#39;s an indicator of missing self service options and insufficient formatted data. Wow, I didn&#39;t expect that... #Timberborn added HTTP hooks as regular Automation buildings for the 1.0 release. You can both send and receive HTTP webhooks to automate things. I&#39;m curious how they actually work.

Vor 2 Tagen beschließt die CDU, dass das Schonvermögen für ETFs (verbreitete private Geldanlage unter anderem zur Vorsorge im Alter) im Rahmen der &quot;Grundsicherung&quot; von 40000€ auf 15000€ maximal (übers Alter gestaffelt) heruntergesetzt wird. Heute erklärt unser Bundeskanzler, dass die Leute doch bitte privat fürs Alter vorsorgen sollen.

I think one of the reasons why LLMs make people actually type out specs instead of handwaving like they did before with developers, is that developers basically told these people &quot;That doesn&#39;t work&quot; based on their experience. LLMs just go ahead and build something instead, that also doesn&#39;t work, but people now figure out &quot;Oh wow, doesn&#39;t work&quot; by themselves and are happy to add details, hoping it makes it work. I&#39;m undecided...

The worst written media sites are the ones that force you to either selling your soul for ads or buy a 10€/month subscription for an ad free experience only to send you to a paywalled article no matter which option you choose before. It&#39;s ridiculous, I couldn&#39;t read the article but for the low low price of 10€/month you couldn&#39;t read the article but ads free!
