I'm undecided whether spam is on the level of marketing teams or marketing teams on the level of spammers. The "#GitLab security team" just decided to send a legitimate, "urgent" email that I have to update my account and add MFA before it's too late because they enable mandatory MFA. Ignoring that my account has MFA for many many many years. They actually have a flow to enforce MFA in their product that works quite well. Why did they bother with the email? Rhetorical question.
