  for the first time in the around 7 years of going to the KantCon #convention, i might have worn myself out. call it residual jetlag, but i really did get all i wanted done, including contact with a publishing mentor of my #TTRPG being revised once more thanks to people bringing up the entire Secrets module of Call of Cthulhu. i consider this a healthy and good thing after 3 days of a 4 day convention with yesterday spent heavily looking, shopping around, and etc

  playing "leisure suit larry 2". i played this as an 8-year-old without my dad knowing. it was fun and all the adult stuff was way over my head. what i am remembering is how a simple "look" command shows more than "the exits" and the obvious. for example, in the quickie mart it'll describe the clerk. a "look" around the room should describe actor, objects, and anything else pertinent given the UI (a text adventure probably has to describe more). #Intera...

  while #life does seem to suck much of the time...it's #beautiful, too. my rationale is that there are so many small things often in many people's lives it should, if properly noticed, work together to push back the terrible ones. i'm speaking from experience as someone who was physically and mentally abused by a parent for over a decade starting at 6, causing lots of mental health disorders such as acute, non-combat PTSD. #LifeIsBeautiful

  it's finally #Friday and i woke up way too dang early. why? my wife and kids are in france visiting family and i'm alone here in the middle of the US waiting for them to call. but, sencha wizard, isn't 0100 Central US time perfect for a call with them? why, yes it is, except we agreed to 0300.

  this high-trust traditional adventure design has really been a great rabbit hole to follow. i did *some* aspects of it back in the day (late 90's, early 00's). so, one track followed recommended CoC's Secrets adventure by Chaosium, so i purchased it. let the perusing begin! #TTRPG

  do any other #TTRPG creators find themselves reviewing constantly their work for funky details? with this semi-family friendly, violence discouraging one i'm making seems to have a lot of dwelling over details in the document itself. local play testing is going good for the moment for me to worry about that aspect.

  i keep saying this, but it might become more of a reality with #FateRPG: my wife might be joining us for #TTRPG here tonight. it might be a matter of getting me to shut up, but i do hope she enjoys herself. my kids and i are building a humorous world. there's some serious elements, but nothing too serious. we want an escape, not the hellscape that is the US gov't right now.
