  #WordWeavers 9/7: Which of your characters would be the least likely to write a love song? I'm gonna go with Ruth. I think most characters could get silly enough in love to make the attempt, but Ruth is pretty disillusioned with love and the whole world. If she ever was a romantic, I don't think she is anymore.

Some of it is just so goddamn depressing that contemplating it feels like a chasm opening up inside. And as for creative advice specifically... I don't know that it would be helpful. You need the boundless confidence of youth before you learn that nothing you write age 12 will be publishable....

  Good progress made, but this chapter requires a lot of new material and the small beast has started the complaint portion of the evening and I can't concentrate while she's looking for ways to cause trouble, so I'll have to leave it there.

  Decided to throw caution to the wind and make #MiniButt a Space Butt, so the first stage is painting it all black, and I have to say, I'm loving it so far.   I have started an attempt to make a Mini Butt. It's interesting, I thought that this would be a lot easier than #ButtSculpture (and it is) but it faces its own challenges. For instance, I thought it would be small enough to not need an armature, but this means that it's very easy to squish the legs into the floor when sculpting the butt. I guess if I were doing this again I would use toothpicks or something for stability. Still having to work in small bits. Hopefully some folks...
