A queer friend in Portugal is currently stuck in a domestic abuse situation. Her belongings have been stolen from her. Police sided with the abuser. She is disabled and seizure prone and can&#39;t easily travel. But she also really needs a safe place rather urgently. Is it possible that the reason we have difficulty figuring each other out is that nobody actually wants to be a separate individual (due to anxiety or otherwise) and they prefer to all see themselves as part of me? I wish #Mastodon gave finer control over who can see a post, than just &quot;followers&quot;. I want to let people follow me as they wish, without having to worry about very personal posts being world-visible. It would be very good to be able to manually add followers (or even non-followers?) into subgroups based on trust level, and make posts only visible to those.
