  Hephaestus, greek god of craft & metallurgy, was born with short deformed leg and his mother Hera cast him out of Olympos. He grew up and became a master craftsman, so that Hera herself ended up asking for his work. He made her a splendid throne, but when she sat on it, she could not get up again. Hephaestus was summoned to free his mother, to which he replied he had no mother. Later he relented, and got Aphrodite (or Athena) as wife in exchange for his service. #MythologyMonday

  Troppo giovane, 66 anni, e oltretutto sembrava vecchio pure da giovane. Giocatore clamoroso, anche per chi come me lo vedeva da avversario. Mi ricordo mio padre, romanista, incazzarsi quando vinse il pallone d'oro Sammer, che all'epoca si diceva non potesse vincerlo un difensore: "allora Baresi dovrebbe averne tre!"   Some years ago the majestic horse chestnut trees in my neighborhood started getting sick, and the city gardening service started cutting them down, and after a while they started replanting some other ones (red horse chestnuts, presumably resistant to the disease). I remember being upset, at the thought of these scrawny little things replacing the old ones. But, the saying is right, the best day to plant a tree was ten years ago, the next best day is today. #trees #urbannature

  I binge watched "a knight of the seven kingdoms" and I loved it (my son liked it too). It has a very different vibe from game of thrones, more uplifting and fun, and it's a nice refresh from the scheming and thousands characters madness of House of the Dragon. AFAIU there's a few stories of Dunk and Egg, so I hope they have a few other single-arc seasons in store. #GameOfThrones #aknightofthesevenkingdoms #tvseries

  Yesterday I had a day out with a few friends I hadn't seen in a while, and we ended up talking about AI. Two of them (one in management/commerce, one in academia/physics) are actually using paid subscriptions for #AI tooling.
