I hate that we live in a world where I have to worry whether I'm being scammed when I apply to rent a new place to live.

I am playing and enjoying Aether & Iron. The writing is about as hard-boiled noir as it gets. Which isn't always my particular jam, but I'm digging it here. Rhiannon Moushall, the VA for the MC, is absolutely nailing the affect. #AmGaming #AetherAndIron

After moving from 1Password to Bitwarden a few months back, I am like 99% happy with it. The one significant gap is a fully asynchronous offline mode for when I'm on the road. I need to be able to create new logins and save them even when I can't immediately connect to my self-hosted server. Honestly, if I'd known this is the intended behavior I might not have made the switch. Ah well.

TIL not everyone has switched over to trunk-based dev. Some people still prefer release branches, apparently? ๐คท

My upcoming interstate move is going to cost me ~$8 per cubic foot. A small box is a bit over a cubic foot, so call it ~$10 per small box. From an economic perspective, that's a decent price: there aren't going to be too many things which take up that amount of space but aren't worth at least that much. But at the same time ... as I pack some of these boxes, I can't help but think "ytf am I hanging onto this?".

Played through Life is Strange: True Colors for the second time. It's too bad this game doesn't get as much love as the other LIS games โ it's easily my favorite in the series. (No shade to Chloe, Max, and the others. I just vibe more with Alex and Steph.)

I am one of Those People who you see around town continuing to wear a mask. When I was down in The Bay earlier this weak, twice people asked me if I was masked because I was concerned about hantavirus. And, like, what is the response they're expecting? My standard short response is always: "I'm high-risk". One of those people replied "aren't we all?" and again I ask: how do you expect me to respond to that? I feel like the very presence of my mask answers the...

Was randomly recommended this game on Steam: A Year of Springs. It ended up being very sweet, and just about an hour long. :flag_transgender: :flag_asexual: :flag_aromantic: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1688580/A_YEAR_OF_SPRINGS/ #AmPlaying #Steam #Gaming

I know it's a hot take, but maybe we don't shame the devs who are being told they can keep food on their table and roofs over their heads only by using AI to obsolete their own coworkers. If you want people to make better choices, do something to help give them better options. Hint: that something should address their precarity and insecurity directly. I have yet to meet a single dev who wants to shank their own coworkers. Please stop treating them like they do.

I was on the road for #FlowerFriday so you get them today. It's a gloomy day, so the lighting is a bit weak. I'm not sure which rose these are, but there's a lovely viny bush which competes with the wisteria for space. #FlowerPhotography #Photography #Roses
