@GhostOnTheHalfShell My guess is these were diesel thieves planning to steal from farm tanks that chose the wrong place to wait up.

I’ve noticed a pattern about where the National signs are appearing around here this election: 1) Empty business premises, mainly long running businesses that have closed down recently. 2) Munted slum rentals. Draw your own conclusions. #NZPol

Matt Flight, Labour candidate for Kaikōura electorate doing a great job at the Balcairn Hall Hustings answering questions that ranged from the incisive to the insane. In the days of careful messaging its good there’s still opportunities like this. #NZPol

Today I was unable to vote because the nearest open polling station in my electorate would be a 280km round trip. Tomorrow I will be unable to vote because the only voting station nearer than that (12km round trip) will only be open for 4 hours in the middle of the day when I'm working. And yet this isn't voter suppression? #NZPol

They were the first band I took my daughter to see live (Auckland 2016), starting her shared love of live music. And of all the songs The Forest is still...

Pay Equity It’s a simple enough concept. One that you would think would fit with the kiwi approach to life. One that would have allowed 130,000 working families better cope with the cost of living crisis. But then, just as the first of the 33 cases were finally to be resolved, this government torpedo’ed everything. They feared the backlash so much that when they were planning this they just called it ‘Project 10’. All papers were distributed by hand to prevent them ‘falling into the wrong ha...
