    I&amp;#39;m going to a conference for work. They have a website. They have an app. I&amp;#39;m not downloading an app just to go to a conference. I use the website on my computer. Then I try to view the webpage on my phone since I won&amp;#39;t have my computer with me on the day.     I remember a time when I&amp;#39;d open Skype or Mumble to talk to people. I&amp;#39;d open a document editor to edit documents. I&amp;#39;d open file explorer to explore files. I&amp;#39;d open an email program to check and read emails. And I&amp;#39;d open Netscape Navigator to look at web pages. And I never had to accept cookies unless they came out of my oven.

    Some of the roads around my home now have presence-activated lights at night. They are dim by default, but get brighter when I approach. I hate this and try to avoid them at all costs. I don&amp;#39;t feel safe having a beacon that can be seen from far away telling everyone that I&amp;#39;m passing through. This is the opposite of what would make me feel safe.
