    Sometimes I wished there was a Deutsche Bahn-compatible charger. 100W, multi USB C, GaN, Schuko, not Europlug. Instead of needing to haul a Schuko to Euro adapter with me - which coincidentally I forgot to take with me today.

    Migrating to Dovecot 2.4 is hilarious and of course I find https://thomas-leister.de/en/mailserver-migrate-config-to-dovecot-2.4-debian-trixie/ only after I successfully went through the pain.

    Dovecot flatcurve does feel like a game changer for email search. I expected the index to be huge, but instead it&amp;#39;s ~230M on my 7.3G maildir - 129M for the term list and 100M for the posting list. Thunderbird and Aqua Mail both seem to do IMAP SEARCH in the background. Indexing is on search if you don&amp;#39;t turn on automatic indexing. Running &amp;quot;dovecot index&amp;quot; to do the bulk indexing (and maybe -q regularly from a cronjob) should do the trick.

    I kept wondering why I can&amp;#39;t use the FritzBox&amp;#39;s DVB-C to IPTV gateway and the answer is that Debian removed liblivemedia because it contains code from RFC 3550 - so there seems to be no RTSP support at all. Flathub&amp;#39;s VLC works. Only over IPv4, though, but that&amp;#39;s a FritzBox limitation.

    Die neueste FritzOS-Version hat keinen ICMP-Paketverlust mehr. Ich hatte mich die ganze Zeit gefragt was da los sein könnte - das Internet war doch schnell trotz Paketverlusts. Stellt sich raus, dass die Hardwarebeschleunigung kaputt war.

    Heute war Ticketbuchung für die GPN. Ganz komischerweise war der Kabel-Upstream voll kurz davor und danach wieder leer. Dass der Upstream voll ist, ist mir noch nie passiert. Gut, ich hatte gestern gesehen, dass der Upstream in den letzten Tagen deutlich voller geworden ist. Glasfaser wird hier ja auch nicht verlegt in der Wohnanlage. Vermutlich zu viele Wohnungen und Eigentümer. Dafür bekommen die ringsrum Glasfaser. 🤡

    ÖBB gibt keine günstigeren Sitzplatzreservierungen für DB-Züge mehr raus. Pah.
