I kept wondering why I can't use the FritzBox's DVB-C to IPTV gateway and the answer is that Debian removed liblivemedia because it contains code from RFC 3550 - so there seems to be no RTSP support at all. Flathub's VLC works. Only over IPv4, though, but that's a FritzBox limitation.
