  Scanning over all the videos from the recent laracon and nearly all of the talks are about llms/ai. Am I the only one who is just so jaded at this? People have just sort of bent over for whatever the billionaire tech bros are pushing, with many people just not coding anymore; instead living in that slot-machine world of "maybe this next prompt will get me what I want". I find it so sad that the industry has gone this way for the sake of "keeping up". /lament over.

  What the fuck is this #socialDB crap? I had this spam email calling me an influencer and that "brands want to sponsor me" I left all the big tech silos partly cuz of this "influencer" bullshit. Anyone in #AskFedi know what it is please?

  In the spirit of the "small web" I want to move off of wordpress for my website. But I've so many posts and media and migrations have never been a straight forward thing when Ive attempted in the past. Ive not much time at the moment but would love to move to a website system more inline with my own beliefs :( ideas welcome lol. #SmallWeb #PersonalSites

  Me: tailwind is just inline styles all over again. Tailwind fan: No it's not -> you just don't "get it" Me: Explain `bg-blue-500` then. If that aint inline style I don't know what is. And yes, I know it's possible to make your own naming like `bg-brand-etc`. but come on, unless you dont like css or just love over-complicating things, why the f**k would you want to. Sometimes I think I'm the crazy one. honestly *smh*

  Today I actually had a fulfilling-feeling day at work. I did not use the expected llm tool (junie - but whatever, could be anything) Causation. I looked up things the old way and anything I learnt I put into my little digital zettelkasten notes. This. Is. The. Way.

  I have been getting so fucking depressed and forlorn at this ai bubble. Being essentially forced to use it at work, I literally spent most of my day copy pasting feedback into junie cli and then tweaking the results. It’s fucking horrible and web dev / programming is on its knees. But do you know what? Standing here cooking dinner I’ve decided that I refuse to be made dumb by it all. When that bubble pops and prices jump I will be ready with a brain again. 🧠
