If I set up my own #mastodon instance on a server, is there a good way of migrating my existing account (this one) to the new account? I.e. all mentions/interactions and chats?

@peach@phpc.social You can only migrate your followers. Migrating other type of objects (Post, Comment) is not possible at the moment AFAIK.

@peach@phpc.social no, migration only covers contact lists (follows/followers). There's a technical reason for this, and although there's some proposals floating around on how to make messages independent of the hosting servers, they haven't been implemented yet by most Fediverse platforms (including Mastodon), sadly.
