@gavin57@toot.wales doom metal you say? I’m recently getting into it. I heard a random band off of a kazaalite download in the mid-00s called “Gates of Dawn” and loved it. I don’t think they were well known. What are some of your faves?

@peach@phpc.social Yeah, I’m quite into various doom and doom sub-genres: Pallbearer, Warning and 40 Watt Sun being regular doom, but there’s Enshine, which is more death-doom; cosmic doom from REMINA; Fires in the Distance is melodic death-doom; plus Messa which is doom with a jazzy tilt. I’ve barely scratched the surface though and am discovering new things all the time.
