@Dragoniff Appropriately enough, it's the fur color of the back of the hand that gave away the specific species. :)

I asked Google's AI to write me a limerick about itself. I think this really says everything there is to say about the current state of "AI." There once was a lab at Google Where they worked on AI and code. They made it so smart It could write a limerick, And now it's answering your email.

@MBNashTN @johnettesnuggs @BlippyTheWonderSlug @purplepadma fwiw: this idea of a stern Old Testament God vs a loving New Testament God isn't well supported in scripture; there's plenty of grace in the Hebrew Bible and tons of judgment in the Gospels and Revelation. But more importantly it's lowkey antisemitic to say Jews worship a meaner God than Christians. I know it's not intended that way, but that's effectively what's being said. I kinda wis...

@johnettesnuggs @MBNashTN @BlippyTheWonderSlug @purplepadma According to the Hebrew Bible, God murdered some people. According to the Christian Bible, God will send almost everyone to infinite eternal torment. Which of those is more morally repugnant? Repeating the "OT god is smitey, NT god is loving" trope doesn't mean you hate Jewish people. But you were taught those examples by people who saw Christianity as good and Judaism as bad, and who cherry picked examples...

@tutwilly@better.boston @DaveMWilburn @futurebird I agree with a lot of the self-driving skepticism, but fwiw my husband has worked in this field for decades and they do in fact work on bicycle recognition. It's an objectively harder problem to solve than car recognition and it's not solved yet, but that doesn't mean no one's trying.

@tutwilly@better.boston @mzedp @DaveMWilburn @futurebird yes hi we do. Like you know not everyone working on self-driving is literally Elon Musk, right?
