Graft successful! Waiting is always the hardest part. One month in a cooler then four months later... The dead looking stick sprouts leaves, bonding to an alien tree, like some kind of witchcraft.

Commemorating my steel & glass work tables I built in my 20s with documentation, since I always meant to publish the designs but never got around to it. Pictured: generic galvanized perforated plate hand-cut to various lengths, bolted together to create a rectangular table. Rubber grommets were used to buffer the slabs of 1/4" glass placed on top.

Turtle man gotta be dead. I mean for real this time, otherwise they wouldn't be trying to upload his consciousness into a robot turtle that can terrorize the poor for a thousand years.

Clevatess is so good, it's like an #anime from another time, ney, an anime from an alternate universe where anime never began to degenerate. Dare I say, it's better than Frieren, better than Witch Hat.

Special place in hell for industrial designers who use adhesives where they are 10,000% unnecessary... Pictured: a small PV solar panel glued to a piece of plastic. First image shows bonded remnants of plastic housing, second shows the panel by itself mostly stripped of adhesive. Ugh.

Imagine thinking the phrase "war robot revolution" is desirable in any context. You are a soft, porous, psychologically tenuous nerve leaden meat golem; I guarantee this will not go the way you were expecting.

Skill unlocked. Despite what AI recommended, you can in fact safely get all the paint out of a can of spray paint that is clogged but fully pressurized. In fact it is fairly easy and just requires a single sturdy needle. Obviously the needle goes into the valve hole and not the metal :P

Finally got around to re-releasing my achiral interlocking card case after Mattel took it down. I made a few improvements too. https://www.printables.com/model/1792898-playing-card-case-improved #3dprinting

My modular bottle brick project has just undergone a major update. Also the physical 8 x 8 foot physical prototype is about 1/3 finished. If anyone wants to help me test it out, feel free. Released under the open community license. #3dprinting https://www.printables.com/model/1714929-modular-bottle-brick-complete-kit/files

Most Americans are okay with atrocities, even ones they're directly responsible for, as long as they're happening to someone else. Bonus if it's indirect & double bonus if it's somewhere else. This is the main reason I'll never feel okay thinking of myself as an American, or feel any kind of pride for what it is often presumed to represent. It's okay to not feel guilt by association when you do everything you can to avoid compulsory partici...

When the borage catches the light just right, and all the little defensive hairs glow, it looks like some kind of fantasy chandelier. Especially white borage. #bloomscrolling

It took ten years for my app to "take off". It hasn't been updated in seven. It was free from the beginning (self-licensed public domain actually). I basically stopped working on the packaged version once I stopped having a computer that could run that monstrosity of an IDE Microsoft manages. Meh. In retrospect think I would have just kept it web only.

This is by far the coolest and most ingenious old world tool I've ever owned. It's so well designed I might even make a video about it. Pictured: heavy duty collapsible compound cable snips, dark steel components elegantly shaped, curving and twisting in masterful ways. Fastened with thick rounded rivets. Cleverly proportioned to produce many times the cutting force of fixed snips while being able to fold neatly into a compact shape.

Accidentally clicked on a video I thought was the new Pentagon UFO footage, but it was just another "drug boat" being blown up. What a world.

Just had to tell someone, 'cuz I'm doing this in total isolation. Laboriously salvaging and pulling nails from ancient wood from demolition that would have otherwise just gone to the dump. Redwood from 1890-1940s California, when they unconscionably cut down trees over a millennium old ;_; light as a feather, stronger than steel. Milled ages ago and structurally unfazed. Only a culture beyond salvation would treat this priceless material like trash.

Thanks to AI being shoved down our throats at every available opportunity, it takes deliberate effort to produce mediocre graphic design now, and that is weird as hell.

#4ameffluvia personal growth: how many layers of dysfunction and failure must be peeled back, how many coats of generational lead and radium paint, how many batts of cultural asbestos are stuffed in these sorry walls, how many gallons of filthy black oil must be drained from the spiritual carburator of the American soul before something of value is exposed? These days it seems like a lot, perhaps too much.

Weird to say this but Linden Lab cracked the code for making 3d modeling economically worthwhile decades ago and better than any of the modern 3d printing sites have yet to do. First they had an almost airtight ecosystem, and then they coined their own currency that can be exchanged for real money. Still to this day one of the strongest communities on the entire Internet.

Dreamed I got "Rainbow Pilled" last night, which does not mean I turned gay like it sounds, but rather that I raised my consciousness to the point where all the illusions of self, culture, society and civilization were obliterated within my mind. Finally I was free just to live.
