  I've never seen the AirNow air quality indication in the maroon, "Hazardous" range until just now. 💨🤢 We have two air purifiers and two MERV13-equipped box fans going on high in the apartment and I've still felt a prickly, mild stinging at the back of my throat all day. We're fortunate that we don't need to go outside. I know lots of folks are worse off.

  I just received a refund from Jefferson Health for a three-figure sum they had improperly charged me for an X-ray two full years ago. Two years. If I had taken anywhere near that long to pay them, they probably would have sent my account to collections and gotten a judgement against me to garnish my wages or some such abuse. This system is so f'd.

  The Thunderbird spam filter got significantly worse lately, after roughly a quarter century of reliable performance. I thought it might be a transient problem after the 128esr to 140esr jump. That was ten months ago and there's been no improvement. Is anybody else observing this?   I feel the need to comment on the recent DE DNSSEC incident. First off, hugs! This sucks and I know lots of people have been called on to respond and will be expected to explain; a stressful and often thankless duty. Speaking from the perspective of one who has planned, orchestrated, and implemented both a DNSSEC algorithm rollover and a multisigner transition for the flagship zone of a multi-billion dollar enterprise, I understand the stakes, and feel deeply the significance of the moment.
