  The recent researching finding amino acids, nucleobases, and such on asteroids is certainly fascinating, but I'm a little puzzled. Space rocks are being suggested as a source for the building blocks of life on Earth. But is Earth not a space rock too? If these compounds can occur naturally on asteroids, why would we assume they couldn't also occur naturally on Earth? #astronomy #astrobiology
