  @fname@kamloops.social The law itself hasn't gotten nearly the amount of attention it deserves. As I understand it, in November 2025, Parliament passed it, thinking it would affect a few hundred thousand people, and nobody really paid attention. A few months ago, I heard on #CBC that because of the law millions of Americans are now Canadian citizens, and they need only submit some paperwork to prove it. #CanPol #cdnpoli #citizenship

  I'm having trouble with my #RPi4 again. #Debian updated the Linux kernel a few days ago to 6.12.90 (a security update); since then I've been getting segfaults, and when it reboots sometimes I get a kernel panic. Not really sure what to do; I could update the image on my SD card. I've been running Debian Stable for maybe 20 years. This is the first time I've had such problems.

  Last week, I rebooted my #Debian #RPi4 server, and when it came back up, I could not longer log in, not via ssh, not with the console. The problem turned out to be that some of the files for PAM were corrupted. Should I wipe the server and reinstall, or just fix the PAM files?
