@mpjgregoire@cosocial.ca what's a "fiscal collapse" mean in this context? I agree with much of Lau's opinion on the economic update, but I'd say it's wrongful and unproductive allocation of resources, in the present. It's not possible for the federal government to be forced into a default. The consequences of misallocation might be a weakening of CAD, excess inflation, and bad outcomes for Canadians, but some fiscal "hard event" isn't in the cards.
