This is the 100th anniversary of digital photograph transmission. If you want to attach a photo to an email, there is a button for that. But if the year was 1926, and you wanted to attach a photo to an international cablegram, that was impossible, right? It could be done, with no electronics whatsoever. This system had six levels of grayscale. Not sure what the pixel resolution was. The cablegram bill must have been huge.

Where is the the best collection of Unix fortune files? I am making a desk toy fortune file display. This display will show a random fortune every few minutes. Thanks

Just spent the better part of an hour wrestling with a Black Friday laptop (not mine.) It showed up with Windows 11 Home S. Getting it out of S and into a local account is quite a nuisance. Edit the registry from Recovery Mode, turn off Secure Boot, rename the Policy File, run a command from Task Manager. Finally got it out of S, configured with a local account, and Secure Boot back on. It took a few tries as the first few recommendations did not work.
