This is the 100th anniversary of digital photograph transmission.
If you want to attach a photo to an email, there is a button for that.
But if the year was 1926, and you wanted to attach a photo to an international cablegram, that was impossible, right?
It could be done, with no electronics whatsoever. This system had six levels of grayscale. Not sure what the pixel resolution was. The cablegram bill must have been huge.
