  You know what would be cool? Being friends with a trans woman my own age. I think there are only 2 trans women I'm actually close with, and one of them's >10yrs older than me and the other's > 10 years younger than me. I'm not sure I've even *seen* any trans women my age (early 50s) here on fedi. I hope there are some. 🤞 I just feel kind-of isolated. You know? Anyway.   When I was a Baby Trans my goal was to pass, and never be thought of as trans. This was pretty normal thinking for the 90's. Being visibly queer was dangerous, never-mind being visibly #transgender ("transsexual" back then), but it wasn't just that. I think many (most?) of us were ashamed of being trans.
