Life *seriously* got better once I was able to be a house spouse, but the past 6 weeks I've been in too much pain to do anything really. Now we're back to being reminded that this society was founded on slave labor. When chattel slavery was made illegal, it eventually fell to the wife to do all the unpaid labor, but when the wife started having to work too the systems never changed.

The politicians keep trying to force us back into a "tradwife" narrative, but only a handful of privileged (mostly) white folk can actually afford to survive with only the income from one job. So either you have 2 people working full time or 1 person working 2 full-time jobs. Both are shit ways to raise a child. 🧵2/4
