I learned that I really *need* a cordless vacuum in my life, I do enjoy using the Dyson a lot. Being forced to use our old Miele (from 1988, stil working!!!!) for the last 2 weeks made me realize that the cordless vacuum removes the friction of vacuum cleaning for me. Completely. And that is worth so much! The Miele is a great back-up vacuum, and it’s the oldest piece of electronics we have in the household, but I don’t want to use it first and foremost.

So… they’re burning books to “feed the AI”, the EU wants to pour 10 billion into this shit and over on LinkedIn, more and more of my peers (whom I thought were good people) say that AI makes their work better. Can’t describe how disheartening this is. Like, if those peers can only look at their work and (bs) benefits they get from AI….that’s so narrow minded. You shitty ass little job in the office isn’t important. The whole fucking planet is at stake here. I find it infuriating that people...

take this photo, for example. I just cranked up the colors, otherwise the photo just wasn't interesting to me. Is this good? Is this "allowed"? I have zero way to judge my own skill, that's part of the problem. Place: Collioure, France

It's wild how different people respond differently to my methods. We know what THAT GUY thought of the Titanic mail. Another guy was like "I'm so happy you did this, we need more people like you". Also: we actually have a breakthrough! We are moving forward with actions to avoid the iceberg! Now that I was actually involved in the meeting (so far I hadn't been consulted), I could jump on vague language and shut that shit down. "as soon as...

It's time to announce: I will speak at Øredev. > The allure of offloading important (testing) tasks to a machine that doesn't care or feel is apparently irresistible for many of us. This comes at a cost: our own critical thinking skills, cognitive capabilities and other computer based skills we need to excel at our job are atrophying. In this 2026 edition of Mapping Biases to Testing I will zoom in on biases I see happening when people use LLM's. https://oredev....

Took a small break from work, watched the Nintendo Direct. Holy shit!! Switch 2 editions of Xenoblade Chronicles 1,2,3. A new Xenoblade game announced?! A release date for Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave!! And I saw one other game that looked great: Final Fantasy Resonance. Wah!

Goddamn, nothing makes you feel more alive than almost getting killed. Just now, I almost got hit by not one, but TWO drivers at the same time! Tried to make a drawing to make it more clear. The van driver, which had to yield to me, didn't see me (I thought he had), so I was already cycling in front of him when I had to suddenly brake and swerve out of his way. Then, the freaking BUS DRIVER didn't see me either!! So I almost got hit by the front of the bus as well. Super h...
