take this photo, for example. I just cranked up the colors, otherwise the photo just wasn't interesting to me.
Is this good? Is this "allowed"? I have zero way to judge my own skill, that's part of the problem.

@maaikees@hachyderm.io almost every professionally published photo you see has been color-adjusted. Cameras are not the same as eyes; if the photo looks disappointingly dull because you remember the scene feeling vibrant, then yeah, jack up the colors a bit until it looks like you felt
