  I want to scream, we’re having an all-tech-hands meeting about how everyone is having trouble getting their work done because the big central Remote Desktop server we have to use for certain things is overloaded, but we’re being roadblocked by the Corporate Overlord on provisioning more ram, more ssd storage etc. Thirty highly skilled people having a meeting about how we can’t get two thousand euros in routine maintenance expenses to do our jobs approved.

  The local overnight parking lot filled up with more Pizza Tour cars from China.   There were times when Odin was younger that I deliberately shut him out of my room and he'd rattle the door and get told "no". So he learned that rattling it is rude, but now, when the door is closed but not specifically to keep him out, I have to pay attention for the sound of him trotting up to the door and then just standing there in complete silence, staring at it, psychically willing it to open it keeps opening, so clearly he *does* have psychokinetic powers

  I've had people ask before why I post art that's been drawn on lined or grid notebook paper and not blank drawing paper. It's honestly a big psychological hack: blank drawing paper is for "real" art and I'm afraid to mess it up, but art on lined paper is legally "a doodle" and the art cops have to let you walk even if it's bad

  A lot of foods in the Netherlands are a bit more expensive than their equivalents in the US (but generally a little higher quality and healthier). But ice cream? Ice cream is way cheaper. I just got an eight-pack of small drumstick (cornetto) ice creams for €1.75, not even on sale. I just checked Wal-Mart's online store and their twelve-pack of the same thing is $7.12. And Dutch ice cream is really, really good.
