  Waiting in long lines to visit new restaurants, shops, or businesses is something I’ve never understood, although many folks in Toronto don’t feel the same way. It’s one thing if it’s for a special event or something that is only available for a brief period of time, but if I can wait a week or two and have no lineup when I show up I will be choosing that option every time. What’s something lighthearted about the culture or country you live in that you don’t understand?

  The idea for this poll came from a recent conversation with my spouse. In the past, they’ve generally been able to tell when someone has a crush on them, but as a friendly person myself I have a history of thinking others are just being friendly and sociable, too.   Today I finished reading Brideen by Kathleen McDonnell, a historical fiction novel about survivors of the Irish potato famine based on the life of one of the author’s ancestors.   Small businesses, please stop using corporate social media as your only online presence. I’d happily visit a website that looks like it was designed in the 1990s if it meant I could actually scroll down and see your address, hours of operation, etc. It doesn’t have to be pretty, just functional. It would be really helpful if you also included common allergens for your food and drinks (if relevant) and how accessible your location is for disabled folks. #Business #Disability
