@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social Looking back, I can think of one time I think someone had a crush on me. Was deeply unsure at the time, but thinking about it now: yeah, she very probably did. Apart from that, I'm still oblivious if it every happened. (the girlfriends I've had, met via dating apps so it was obvious from the get-go). Hell, similar goes for so many other forms of social interactions.

@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social I said no. I think I have often missed the signs of someone having a sexual interest in me, and also misread the signs of people who were just being friendly. I have found many of the indications that I have leant as obvious signs of interest or disinterest are also wrong and can mean almost anything else at all. Humans are very difficult to read, and their displays and actions are often ambiguous or outright lies. I have learnt to say and do nothing, unless there is a clear conversation about it.

@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social I'm not sure whether my answer should be Yes, No, or Other under the strong presumption no one has ever had a crush on me.

@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social No, apart from one crazy, obvious pseudo stalker which is cheating, really.

@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social I don’t know — I don’t think I can? At least, I have never realized if someone was flirting with me. My friends would have to point that out afterwards. But it hasn’t happened very much. I think 🤔
