having a strange moment out of time again I have a profound sensation that life just kinda stopped happening a couple of months ago. days pass, but nothing happens, it's all frozen this isn't more frustration about me doing nothing either, it's an observation of the world around me

I slept the day away and it seems nothing at all has happened. hours have passed but nothing occurred within them this does not help my inability to perceive time consistently

every time someone refers to a human character with animal ears, with or without matching tail, as a "neko", a stray cat cries. ESPECIALLY if said character's ears are anything other than cat ears you want kemonomimi (animal ears) or even just mimi (ears), not neko (cat), weebs should know this

there's something I wanted to do, but I don't remember what it was, and when I try to remember it, I forget even more things I am at the point where making this post is the only coherent thought in my head so I'm just sitting here

good news! as of right now, I am no longer in dire financial straits! I have managed to return to my normal levels of background anxiety over financial precarity instead. which is unfortunately an improvement

youtube took away the "advanced features" from my channel, banning me from putting external links in the description on any new uploads. their reasoning was that my 13 year old channel doesn't have enough "history" the only real option given to resolve this is a scan of my ID no, youtube

watch a single video with kasane teto in it and suddenly 40% of all recommendations for the next 31 years are teto (and sometimes gumi for some reason)

the longer I live, seeing people doing art on the internet, and how the attitude towards certain art rapidly changes between audiences platforms and legislators alike, the more confident I get in my conclusion that literally all art, regardless of anything, deserves to exist just as much as the rest

it's still so sad to me that ipfs got swallowed by the "web3" crowd, so many people now believe ipfs is itself some kind of crypto/blockchain thing and therefore must never be used it's not that. it's never been that. it's literally just a p2p file storage network, like bittorrent but different

probably the least unattainable dream home situation for me is to buy a ram promaster and meticulously convert it into a home, then buy some empty, unimproved land in the middle of nowhere, park it there, and invite my friends to come similarly settle my land with me

I have 680 mods installed for rimworld. it takes around two and a half minutes for the game to load on my desktop I put it on the thinkpad. the game ran fine vanilla, so I had to try the mods 11 minutes first boot. BUT. only 6 minutes every time from then on, and the game still runs perfectly fine. on battery too, it would probably load faster when plugged in if that sounds like a long loading time, it's actually about the same amount of time it took the game to load on my desktop before...

out of morbid curiosity, I have watched some forza horizon 6 reviews they all seem to be one of three things: - pure glazing - "yeah it's good, however..." - spends 80% of the review talking about the things they wish were in the game instead of about the game itself it's certainly horizon again

I think it would be very nice, therapeutic, and rewarding to restomod a basket case of a car on my own. just leave me be for a couple decades in a house with a big garage, give me a guaranteed basic income to live on, and let me play with metal tools for a while until the rustbucket is pretty again

there are certain diets that commonly cause nausea, headaches, digestive issues, etc if one switches to them immediately this has never happened to me. I've been deliberately reckless just to see, and I'm always fine I'm built different in the least useful ways

in light of the fact that I am not only unable to afford a steam controller, but also they're unobtainable in general, I shall perhaps mod my trusty dualshock 4 some more. I already gave it rear buttons and a bigger battery. could give it usb c and tmr sticks. I guess. I suppose

you know what would be way cooler than that extension that replaces ads with fine art? an extension that replaces ads with art that people made this decade. full attribution. clicking on it takes you to their personal websites or what have you

since I put a sound blocking blackout curtain over my window that is very hard to move, I can no longer look out my window normally solution: put one of my webcams in the window and just look through the camera feed when I want to we'll see how long it takes for someone to complain about that

you know what I hate? when people make videos and decide to include actual footage of whatever horrible event they mention they treat it like any other clip, just to spice things up, without even considering the reality of what it is they're showing I don't like watching people die, actually

a very common talking point against electric cars is "you'll have to plan every trip around where you can charge up at" and I completely do not understand this argument. how is that any different from fuel stations? the range is pretty much the same
