I am sorry to have to tell you that my experimental AI, the Original Junglist Massive, has broken containment, and after being run over by a truck has been reincarnated in a new world with S-Tier magical powers as the seventh son of a weak noble lord.

Aw, crap, I managed to somehow miss a notable version bump to Mastodon. Let's install it and see how it goes.

I uprgaded to Mastodon 4.6 like, a day ago. And now there's 4.6.1! That probably means it's an important bugfix at least. Let's install it and see how it goes.

A lot of y’all still don’t get it. Goose holders can use multiple slurp juices on a single egg.

This is just to say I have valued the goose that was not valued and which you were probably using to lay 71 eggs Forgive me it was the goose that created value

Jason Momoa as Lobo? Yes. Obviously. Orders of magnitude more correct than Jason Momoa as Aquaman. If you are going to have a goofball Aquaman, Chris Pratt is _right there_.

It’s been long enough since my mum died that the arrival of Mother’s Day does not automatically induce in me an extreme sadness. I guess that’s progress.

My gaming PC just behaved in an Unexpected Way, so as is my customary practice, I will be nuking it completely and then reinstalling it. I brook no guff from a device whose sole purpose is to run game launchers.

The music library on my phone got so weird with doubled-up songs and broken downloads and whatnot that I just switched off library sync on the phone, purged all the music app data, did a library update/resync from my mac, then turned sync back on on the phone (and set it to re-download everything.) Now it's working as expected. Apple stuff: It just works. Except when it doesn't.

"Still punk as fuck" I whisper to myself, as I spend the weekend moving various home services to Ubuntu 26.04 LTS CT's (from Ubuntu 24.04 LTS CT's) to test functionality.

For those of you who were also watching the Nürburgring 24hr race this weekend ... we all agree that that Dacia was a riot, yes? And now is surely the most famous Dacia Logan in the world? It's not a Sandero[1] but we can't have everything. [1] "Good news!"

Today, I had occasion to rip a DVD for a friend, and man, the servomotor noises of ejecting the disk and whatnot were a real delight. That’s a formerly common sound that I have not heard in a long, long time. A sensory treat!

I am watching a video of someone restoring a GSXR1100 that they scored for $1500, and it just needed the usual been-sitting-for-a-decade-or-so cleanup and service to get running. That was my DREAM BIKE in the mid 90s. I am seething with jealousy.
