  On the one hand suing over an undelivered software feature is a little silly since ‘delivered’ is pretty squishy to define for software. On the other hand, I’m all for Apple going back to more conservative preannouncements. On the third hand, I’’ll take my $.39 cut after the lawyers get theirs off the top as partial compensation for Liquid Glass… On the fourth hand, I’m really sick of opportunistic scummy lawsuits against Apple while Zuckerberg isn’t so broke he’s dumpster diving for food.

Hate crime laws are a fedi hornets nest stirring example. A functioning system/society would sentence the ever-lovin’ $&@# out someone caught burning a cross on my lawn for vandalism, trespass, arson etc, to effectively deter hateful behavior.   I’ve been chuckling at the snark regarding the Fediverse “echo-chamber” and yeah, the absence of an algorithmic feed, the malignant interests of some tech bro makes it MUCH better here. That said, pretending the culture here isn’t skewed, that certian points of view aren’t vastly over represented is delusional. That those points of view are underrepresented and often abused in the world at large *may* be a good thing about here but it comes with risks too. Polarization and ignorance are bad.
