last night, a friend and I recycled some old PCBs left over from another project into notebook covers! We cut the pages and stitched the spine by hand. #electronics #bookbinding #diy

Has anyone ever noticed how it's really emailGPT rather than chatGPT with how verbose these things are?

Stopping the system fans to heat up the system to shift clock phase by a few femtoseconds is one of the less hinged ideas I’ve seen come out of CERN lol. (AFAIU this was an experiment for a software retrofit to hardware otherwise incapable of such adjustments)

TIL the European Space Agency has a research program developing tech for shooting space debris with really, really bright lasers to adjust its orbit using the photons’ impulse, and that the name of that program is OMLET 🤣 https://conference.sdo.esoc.esa.int/proceedings/sdc9/paper/219/SDC9-paper219.pdf

I’m really not a fan of linters, and especially of code auto formatters. In a time when AI usage already homogenizes most types of online communication, I really don’t see the value in removing the tiny specks of personal style I express in the way I align arguments across code lines, or in my positioning of comments.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@matthiasott/116437672552754529 This is such a nothingburger. No matter if you like LLMs or not, if you install an app that is explicitly marketed as having a browser automation feature, it should not be surprising that the app in fact contains code that allows it to connect to a browser.

I’m looking for a #39c3 ticket. I wasn’t lucky in this year’s presale. If any of you have one to spare, please dm me. edit: Thank y'all for boosting, it worked and I found a ticket 😄
