  Any free Linux DAWs out there that work reliably with Wayland (I tried Ardour but it keeps crashing)? Running Kubuntu on an elderly MacBook Pro 2015 here and would love to do some basic multitrack recording/editing, using some software instruments & plugins. Audacity/Tenacity are a bit too basic.

  Programming the little tool actually REALLY transported me back in time. Because that’s just what we did before you could just download everything from the internet. You encountered a (computer) problem, you programmed a solution. Or at least you tried. Feels good.

  I deleted all social media apps from my phone quite a while ago, except for Mastodon and Bluesky (well, and the YouTube Creators thing - for obvious reasons). All notifications are deactivated. I blocked phone calls/messages from numbers that I don’t have in my phonebook. Emails are only downloaded when I open the app. It’s a peaceful life. Follow me for more "digital detox" life hacks!

  Taking a little break after ~6 hours of refurbishing/repairing datasettes. So far, 3 out of 3 1531s (the grey ones) work fine again and I even managed to load Cobra on the one that had a "Cobra" Dymo label on it… 😅 #InTheLabDoingStuff

  Remember the DolphinDOS x JiffyDOS patch for the #C64? It uses some of the superior disk routines from Dolphin with the Jiffy fastloader so you don’t need a parallel cable (just the Jiffy ROM in the disk drive). I just put it on my #C64Ultimate.
