aaarrrrggghhhhh tech support telling me to reproduce my issue and submit a log that doesn't exist through a form I can't access. I hate it I hate it I hate it. But what I hate most of all is being handled like I'm the problem for raising an issue. So, real question: is it a me-problem that I'm upset about the tone more than the content? Genuine question: what conditions lead to this? Are there two different prediction models in use, one for hour-by-hour weather conditions and a totally separate one for rainfall in a 24 hour period?

It makes me happy when I see a lot of different languages in my feed. Feels like a healthy ecosystem. Haven't seen any Spanish today (I know I follow some of you) but I've got Portuguese, French, Italian, Dutch, German, and English (strong bias towards languages I want to practice reading). Not too bad!

Anybody out there do sewing of translucent fabrics to the effect of a stained glass piece? Could naturally be a killer option for a curtain but I think there's potential for certain outer layers of clothing as well, or possibly sleeves. Do you know how my mind landed on this, though? Stained glass boob window. Somebody needs to make a garment with a stained glass boob window.

Confirmed: you should not make rhubarb crisp in a springform pan. You can, but the liquid will all leak out the base. (I knew the risks and did it anyway because I didn't have another pan of that size, but I had a sheet pan underneath so everything's fine.)

Calling it -- my old Fitbit can't hold a charge even while it's on the charger. Can you replace the batteries in these things? (Willing to do finnicky work and even soldering, if it's doable with great big human hands.) Otherwise, I guess it's gonna be parts. EDIT: have enough information to attempt a battery replacement now!

I think I saw about 120 different types of cheeses at the store today, but unless I missed it, none of them were Raclettekäse and my recipe for Käsespätzle calls for Raclettekäse. Although I just realized I looked in the cheese aisles but not the other cheese area, because I forget there's another one for the fancier cheeses in alongside the meat. What would be other types of cheeses that would be at least texturally compatible? Or is Raclettekäse a category that I won't see on the labe...

Treating myself this Sunday to my grandma's recipe of Swedish pancakes (they're closer to crepes) but with whipped cream and sour cherries, which I first encountered here in Germany. This is about as close as I come to homesickness — I miss individual people, and I miss foods. In this instance it feels strange to miss a food that I know came from very near here, although I grew up with it on the other side of the globe.
