It might protect against some disk issues, but probably not that many. SSDs will just stop working altogether on controller or dram failure and lose all of the disk at once. I hope you are aware that SSDs are not recommended to be kept unpowered - the 10 year data retention relies on scrubbing that happens only when the power is on.

  @gloriouscow@oldbytes.space maybe that's a brown band on the left. Then we'd have 16.5 ohms which at least is in the normal E96 resistor series. Maybe yellow as a nonstd tolerance or maybe it's a tempco. Either way the value is small and you should be able to measure it in-circuit to get a feel for it's value.

  @sortius@infosec.exchange it's a standard IEC 60906-1, nice and compact with good ground pin, and fits ungrounded plugs. Only downside is that the cable usually comes out straight and not at a 90° angle like the UK plug (which avoids bending the wire).

Thar said, the suggestion that we need a compulsory central register of cyclists and bicycles is bonkers. That will not solve the problem, and exposes cyclists to needles data hoarding by some company paid to hold the register.

  @gloriouscow@oldbytes.space yeah that's pretty normal. The inverter might only drive 8mA (a 560Ω pull up), in this case maybe R3=270Ω It helps especially if this is driving some MOS inputs as the TTL gate has a poor rising edge.

  @JetSetIlly@mastodon.gamedev.place i suspect the 29128 is the device identifier, the other might just be a stock number for Atari use. 23128 is a 128 kilobit 16KiB ROM 27128 is a 128kb EPROM 28128 is a 128kb EEPROM so it makes some sense that the 29128 is a something memory too.
