@JetSetIlly@mastodon.gamedev.place i suspect the 29128 is the device identifier, the other might just be a stock number for Atari use.
23128 is a 128 kilobit 16KiB ROM
27128 is a 128kb EPROM
28128 is a 128kb EEPROM
so it makes some sense that the 29128 is a something memory too.

@idiot@mastodonapp.uk Yes the 29128 is the ROM chip in the cartridge. The second chip below it is the RAM chip. It's the RAM chip that's providing a bit of mystery.
