  Excellent Niece suspected that our big warmblood horses would appreciate a lawn sprinkler, since it’s like 100F here in Texas (38 C) and these horses’ DNA originated in Northern Europe where it’s historically not a heat-hellmouth. Her instincts were correct. Teddy the Friesian from the Netherlands was all in, followed in short order by his grey German Holsteiner compatriot. Horses crack me up.

  On my way to bail the goats out of their fertilizing duties in the vineyard and into the barn ahead of this big-ass stormfront that has been lighting up my phone for the past 2 hours. I knew this was gonna be the real deal because the goats uncharacteristically stuck to me like glue all the way back to the barn.   Today I was laid up, so I watched about 437 movies that Netflix recommended. Jurrasic World Rebirth, Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning, Red Notice, The Rip, The Woman in Cabin 10, Polar, A House of Dynamite, and Wind River.   Blurry iPhone Nature Photo of the Day: watched this goofy bird crawl haplessly all over this tree for the past month. Today it finally found the suet feeder I got special for it.
