I am intending to get a JR Pass. Anyone want to dissuade me from that? Haven't done the calculations in depth, but from reading Seat61 it seems I'll get most of the value back from the few long distance Shinkansens (up and down the country), so any savings buying individual tickets will be marginal.

TfL has stopped my Oyster. I do not know why or what I do about this (they&#39;ve sent me no emails); I seem to have a £1.20 negative balance but I&#39;m unable to top up now. The app doesn&#39;t even show me the card is stopped! 10/10 user experience.

@Edent@mastodon.social Don't think I ever use NFC on my phone outside of tap-to-pay or transit cards. Occasionally I read/write NFC tags or random transit cards, Mifare Classic 😉 etc.
