After over a year of using Alicja keyboard I moved to second version of it. With PCB and several other changes. https://marcin.juszkiewicz.com.pl/2026/07/29/new-keyboard-alicja-v2/

Google Assistant joins the list of killed services. Cooking will become a bit more problematic for me as I use "alarm for ten minutes" kind nearly every time I cook. Last time I checked, Gemini was unable to follow such simple command. Shit.

If you want to waste two hours of your time, watch "Minions and monsters". The worst part of the whole franchise. The best part of the film? We watched it in air conditioned cinema, while it was over 30°C outside.

I am planning my next pcb and started looking for RP2040 or RP2350 board with castellated edges. So I can get solder it without making holes. Is there anything other than Solder Party stamps? I need all gpios and would like to have usb on pins as well. I do not count chinese clones of above.

Drama around rsync, and/or LLM used for software development in general, is funny. If someone dislike, then FOSS allows to make a fork. Or help maintaining.

Friend mentioned that Nova launcher has some kind of AI integrated. Checked, expensive as hell subscription based shit. Can ignore. My problem with Nova is "it is too hard to find something as good". Widgets from edge to edge. Folders which look like icons and have multiple actions depends do you tap or slide. Tabs in app drawer (I have five tabs to group apps by type). Someone mentioned Lawnchair. It survived 20 seconds. Widget margins, folders being folders. Launcher sele...

"For all mankind" is alternative reality. But they have Star Wars trilogy. But looks like "Total recall" is what they miss... When Marsians rebel, you can close gates and play with air pressure.

I do not like moments like I have now. Have to debug ddns scripts in openwrt to find out why they do not work properly. And say that all is fine at the same time.

Amiga users get new reimplementations of old cards from time to time. This time I saw A4092 SCSI controller: https://scsi.me/ Nice example of an old card done in a new way.

The first picture shows my daily keyboard. It was done as temporary and serves me for over a year. But slowly dies. The second picture is a WIP layout for the new one. Still will be cheap, but with PCB, hotswap switches and case. There will be encoder in top right corner. Have to think what else to change in it. Suggestions anyone? #HrwKeys #mechanicalkeyboards

ArmCpuInfo v1.4.0 released. MMFR3 register is mostly described (some fields are better to consulted with TRM), DFR0 got some updates too. More registers will get updates soon. The more important part: code was rewritten using AI. Now all register fields are described in the YAML file and C source is generated by Python script. https://github.com/hrw/edk2-armcpuinfo/releases/tag/v1.4.0

I updated my "How to survive FOSDEM" article. @fosdem organizers updated map so I updated it as well. The change was simple: there is no ATM at ULB (for quite a while). So I added an info about it. And some minor edit. https://marcin.juszkiewicz.com.pl/2019/10/15/how-to-survive-fosdem/ #FOSDEM #FOSDEM26

ARgh... There is no #FreeCAD package in Fedora. COPR has only nightly builds, no package for 1.1.0 release. Flatpak for 1.1.0 freezes it's UI most of the time I am using it. I click on circle centre, then on another circle centre, FREEZE, then on 3rd circle centre, FREEZE... I am really considering checking can I install Fusion 360 on company Macbook...

Long time since last post in #HrwKeys story. Waiting for PCB for my h261v6 keyboard. In meantime I noticed that it has one extra key between "0" and "Backspace". Design of the bottom case in progress. Will be fun.

My keyboard got an upgrade today. The usb hub on my desk was a bit far away so I decided to move my Yubikeys closer to the keyboard. By adding USB hub into keyboard. Cheap, aliexpress one. Was something around 1-2€ for a pcb. My next keyboard will have usb hub as well but better hidden. And maybe usb 3/5Gbps one. #HrwKeys
