That moment when 10 years late you discover #broforce and go nuts about it! Crazy game, and looks like it could be released today!

I'm running a software house without developers but with #AI for almost a year already.. last year this time it was still a bit of pain in the arse.. but now... I must admit the fruits of that development strategy become clear winners!

https://stephango.com/design-is-compromise That article I need to remind occasionally to all celebrity-CTO/CIOs of the web who instead of sharing insights about meaningful tech/business decisions just pitch corporate politics related bollocks with hope noise will keep them relevant

I really like so many people have come back to blogging. like seriously regularly blogging with quality. We got that right before Twitter and Facebook came in, distracting us for 20 years or so... that should have never happened. I like personal blogs on self-controlled places in the internet much more than all that centralised social media crap that still dares to live.

I used Helix Editor for over a year, as detox from vscode and I loved it. I still do.. but codex made me very much passive editor user and then I simply started using Zed for code reviews. but in vim/helix mode... and then after a year of not doing much editing, mostly reading and searching... I freaking found out myself that I need to re-learn vi(m) the helix way in zed again... damn it!

RE: https://techhub.social/@ithorrorstories/116933021278792294 Very much this! Especially when AI becomes new mainframe as some sort of AI applicance enterprises can take back to their offices instead of relying of 5GW datacenters consolidated in untrusted locations.

All you people who are scared and hating AI because it replaces human labour... if you're truly at risk... then it means you have no skills worth mentioning, in the first place. People with real and valuable skills shouldn't be worried nor at need for strong emotions related to AI #ai #haters

Endless Sky is Elite/Frontier game without all that 3D flying crap. Perfect to those who only wanted to raise ranks in trade and interstellar travel, done quickly. For me perfect chill out game to turn on from time to time and enjoy it. #endlesssky

My new 3D engine is MacOS and Windows native, fully portable, including audio library, so I can also start porting TuneRider and my own synth+tracker to Windows. That should help me work with others who are not on Macs.. and I have CSG! Not perfect. i still have few bugs to track down regarding reconstruction of some corner case triangles, but quite good already! It’s just my runtime is 3MB as executable, both platforms, thanks to the modernity of C++ unfortunately (I only rely on system libra...

I started playing Sherwood on c64 yesterday. Lovely little title. I found Amiga quite stagnant providing mostly some remakes and simple unpolished platformers based on Scorpion these days (I miss the peak time from about 5 years ago on Amiga, those were the times!) but C64 dev community never stops surprising with new innovations and polished titles. Great stuff! #c64 #sherwood

yay, after months of fight I finally fixed last corner cases known to me to implement fully working zmodem receiver (tested on the boards I can access) I still need to overreact as issues I had were so... what a fucking fuck... a thing... like literally ... standard/spec versus how boards and various implementations behave... I had fun today playing with GUI for my procedural texture generator. I have about 15 different generators (templates) plus a number of options for each of them. Still atomic, I need to add layers and compose them with operators, but that's one big, next milestone to achieve. #demoscene #gamedev #homebrew

Up until last year’s September I was prompting in a web only to accelerate my coding effort, copy and paste to ide, I have automatized my workflows to get maximum known efficiency using such method and I was.. happy and faster and all things positive. Still with maximum capacity to drive one project forward and more or less old fashioned dev+architect deep dive attention to it. All things changed when I encouraged myself to get into codex and start prompting in terminal, directly on my source c...

@codinghorror@infosec.exchange @freya@social.highenergymagic.net @paul@m.pcgt.link things change. Msdn library killed books, SO killed MSDN Library, AI kills SO.. evolution, I’m fine with it. Joe Spolsky knew that too so he left earlier to start AI company too

it's so funny to consider that SharePoint list is the cheapest top performant Object Oriented database. The only thing you need to do is to start using MultiLine text columns to store json and you need mongo no more! #sharepoint
